Pearl St. Renovations

Essex, Vt., (November 16, 2009) GKA is designing a new Gatehouse, including a welcome center and ticket facility for the renovations to Pearl St. in Essex. The design of this building will evoke Essex Junction’s rich history as a railroad hub and the Exposition’s nearly century long status as one of the largest agricultural fairgrounds in the Northeast. Pedestrians will travel under the arched entryway and proceed through the gates to the exciting events that await them!

The new building and entry gates are a portion of a larger VTrans Pearl Street Streetscape Improvements Project led by Lamoureux and Dickinson Engineers.
