The building’s design, reminiscent of a train station, pays tribute to Essex Junction’s history as a major train crossroads. The colorful elements reflect CVE’s fair tradition and its growth into a modern facility. The new ticket building and entry gate are designed to welcome fairground visitors and provide event information. The entry courtyard serves as a ticketing and outdoor queue area, but it is also dedicates space to mount a display of the events taking place within the gates. The wrought iron and masonry pier fence boundary and well-lit gateways create an upscale public image for the fairgrounds along the street front, improving pedestrian and vehicular entry.
