We helped VINS create a rustic, artful and sustainable campus in Quechee that reflects their mission of environmental education while functioning as a sanctuary for injured birds. The building and roof line are positioned to capture solar heat in the winter and deflect it in the summer. Similarly, the windows provide seasonally adjustable venting. We designed two buildings that are efficient and functional, and whose pastoral style embodies the Institute’s image. We’ve tried to create a healthy, light-filled, and inspiring space in which to work.
